ENCANTO PARK – Garden of Dreams
Parking Lot East of 15th Avenue and Encanto Blvd.
SATURDAY, APRIL 14, 2012 @ 11:00

We will have BBQ Chicken from Honey Bears or Papa Joe’s.

Please bring food to share according to the initial in your last name:

A – L    Salads, veggies, side dish, or pickles
M – Z   Dessert or Fruit

We will provide the paper goods and condiments, but please bring your own drinks. NO GLASS CONTAINERS. If you would like to bring chairs, blankets, folding tables, etc., that would be great.

Instead of a balloon release, we will remember our children with flowers to be tossed into the lagoon.

Our memorial is located at the Garden of Dreams which is in the area west of Enchanted Island.

Please call Linda McCabe at 602 274-5136 or Betty Nelson at 602 841-8649 (or e-mail to Betty) with an approximate count of the number in your family that will be attending so we’ll know how much food is needed.

All are welcome!

The mission of The Compassionate Friends (TCF) is to assist families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child at any age and to provide information to help others be supportive. We provide support to parents, grandparents and siblings regardless of the age or the circumstances of the death of a child, grandchild or sibling.

We are a national nonprofit, self-help organization with over 600 chapters in the United States and many other chapters worldwide.

Our Valley of the Sun meetings are open to all family members who are grieving the death of a child. There is no religious affiliation and no dues or fees.

We offer a safe place for bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings to meet and talk freely about your child and your grief issues. No one is required to speak, but we do encorage you to be a considerate and careful listener. There is always so much to learn that will help you during your grief journey.

For more information about our chapters there are links to each chapter under the Meetings tab.
